Hey there, I'm Saray Mata...
I’m the owner of Lively Complexion, a Christian-based business that strives to honor God in all we do. I never thought it possible to start this business. I could see it down the road many years ago, but I never thought it’d be this soon! So, with much prayer, we embark on the journey to help people feel and look their best – the healthy way!
A little bit more about me...
At the age of 12, I began using a skincare product from Switzerland that was really expensive. I’d save up my allowance and get extra money from my parents so I could buy it.
Unfortunately, the skincare products I used got discontinued! I was pretty devastated because I had been using these products for a long time. I began to research skincare products that were good for my skin and found some at my local health store.
Becoming sick and tired of "fake" skincare...
I would switch between different skincare products, trying to find a good replacement for the Swiss skincare products I had loved. I found myself spending a lot of money on products that claimed to be natural but turned out to be fake or ineffective.
After much frustration and stress, I decided that I would dive deeper into going natural and start using organic ingredients like vegetables, fruits, superfood powders, and clays.
I found Matcha Green tea powder and Bentonite clay to be very good for my skin. I began using it on my skin as a face mask that I applied with either honey or apple cider vinegar. I immediately started seeing that it was doing great things for my skin!
I also began using different types of fruits and vegetables on my skin, like tomatoes, acai, coconut milk, and others.
A vision for better skincare
Then, the idea of creating a skincare product came to mind. I wanted to learn how to make natural masks, lotions, and toners. I wanted to be able to create an organic version of any skincare product that I saw.
How could I create products with the most natural and organic ingredients? I didn’t have the knowledge or the resource on how to create real professional natural formulas.
I knew if I had the proper training and a great mentor, I would put in the work to make high-quality, all-natural skincare available for people wanting organic skincare.
I found a school that taught me the knowledge and skills I needed to achieve my goal. Thanks to the School of Natural Skincare, I am now able to make and formulate high-quality, all-natural, professional products.
I have my certifications in making Preservative Free Face Mask Formulation and Making Natural Skincare Products. I am continuing to expand my knowledge with more advanced classes to allow for more formulations.
I am offering to you what I have spent countless hours of research and time on: genuinely natural skincare.
Every product is formulated at Lively Complexion, and we run through numerous tests to ensure that the products you are receiving are safe, natural, and effective.
I’m grateful to the School of Natural Skincare for the knowledge on how to test products’ PH level and sustainability and to formulate natural preservatives.
As we continue to launch and release products, I want you to know that we are formulating with you in mind. Helping others with their skincare needs is our mission! I am not here to sell you a product. Instead, I want to invite you to join me as I consciously treat my skin with respect and dignity by only giving it Nature’s best.
